A historic football club which has battled to secure its future after being pulled from the league has received a boost after being included in a round of grants from a housing group.
Darlaston Town FC recently reached its £5,000 fundraising target for it to return to action next season.
But bosses had warned they needed to generate thousands more to keep going for future years.
Now Walsall Housing Group has announced it will get a £3,400 slice of £24,000 funding, with other groups across the borough also set to benefit.
Cash will also go to Caldmore and Palfrey Festival and Willenhall Carnival.
