Willenhall Heritage Day 2014 held at Willenhall Chart 26th April. This was a great opportunity for our final public voting station as voting closed at midnight for our Flag Competion – Flying The Flag for Willenhall.
We also took advantage to raise some money for our chosen charity – Cancer Research!
An excellent day was had by all and thank you to all our members who came out and supported us but the highlight of the show was the MK IX Sptifire which was located in the car park.
A selection of photos inc local clubs and societies plus exhibitors.
The first publication from Willenhall Heritage Trust is the DVD – ‘The History and Heritage of Willenhall’.
This DVD, which runs for approx. 1 hour, has been produced by Chamber TV for Willenhall Heritage Trust to capture the History of the town, which lies in the Heart of the Black Country, that started it’s life in Anglo Saxon times. It since became the lock making capital of the world in its industrial peak.
This up to date account, which details the past, present and plans for the future, is narrated by Mary Bodfish, and is introduced by Professor Carl Chinn, MBE, who is Patron of Willenhall Heritage Trust.
