Charity Raffle raised £108 at our final public voting station!!

A massive thank to everybody who bought a raffle ticket or had a go on our sweep stake! We raised £108 in total towards our chosen charity Cancer Research which will be added to our justgiving page Click to donate.

Thank you to Sharon Hall of Willenhall Towm Football Club who donated cakes and to Ian Tildesley for the brandy!

Willenhall Heritage Day 2014 – Final Public Voting Day

Willenhall Heritage Day 2014 held at Willenhall Chart 26th April.  This was a great opportunity for our final public voting station as voting closed at midnight for our Flag Competion – Flying The Flag for Willenhall.

We also took advantage to raise some money for our chosen charity – Cancer Research!

An excellent day was had by all and thank you to all our members who came out and supported us but the highlight of the show was the MK IX Sptifire which was located in the car park.

Many thanks to everyone who took time out and submitted an entry!

The hard part starts this Thursday, 27th March where a panel of judges will be convened to select 6 finalists that will be put to a public vote running between 7th-26th April.
The venue for this part of the competition has been kindly sponosored by 442 Bar & Lounge for supplying the venue plus food for the night.

Panel of judges include representatives from –

Poundland, WH Tildesley, Walsall Local History, Willenhall History Society, Councillor Ian Shires, Willenhall Town Football Club, Flag Institute- Philip Tibberts, Les Burrows (of WTFC), Ben Gray, Walsall Council Candidate.

The winning design of this vote will then be registered as the Willenhall flag and unveiled at the this years Willenhall Carnival on the 14th June by a local Willenhall celeb!

We have made it easy for you to cast your vote in person at the following venues, where we will be present with out stall – Look out for us 🙂

Good news for those wishing to visit the house who have not yet been able to get to any of the events or open days.

From next year, April 2014, the house will be open to visitors! (excluding September)
